“The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them.” (Karl Marx) Alienation could be described as a condition in which humans are dominated by forces of their own creation. This concept is fascinating because within the concept of capitalist mode of production the worker loses connection with his work. This connection is lost because the worker is not allowed to think; in consequence to this the worker loses the ability to determine their goals and destiny. This concept alienates an individual from their humanity. Only the individuals could choose to be lead by the bourgeoisie class or choose to think for themselves.

  1. Yes I agree, within the concept of capitalist mode of production the worker is not allowed to reach his or her potential. It is difficult for them to actually do what they want. The worker does lose complete connection with work and cannot reach their goals.
